The Brief

Buglers approached Loose Connections with a request to modernise their website and make it easier for users to find and engage with their latest stock. The original website was functional but outdated in its structure and layout.

Key challenges included,  removing an outdated sidebar that took up valuable homepage space but the contents still needed to included on the site. The latest stock listings were placed too far down the page. A lack of visual impact and clear hierarchy on the homepage. Minimal integration of news or blog contents. A need for easier content updates moving forward.

The goal was to deliver a site that was more user-friendly, easier to update, and more effective at showcasing stock.

The challenge for Loose Connections was to boost visibility, drive more targeted traffic to the website, generate more customer leads and improve engagement through effective digital marketing while ensuring that their website content was kept fresh and relevant.

The Solution for

Buglers

As part of the full website redesign and rebuild, Loose Connections also took on Buglers’ search engine optimisation (SEO), ensuring that the refreshed website performed as well as it looked. The entire site was rebuilt using Elementor, giving the Buglers team full control over content updates through a simple, flexible visual editor. One of the key structural improvements was the removal of an outdated sidebar that had been occupying valuable space and disrupting the user experience.

The  content was redistributed into more logical areas—such as relocating the location map to the footer—freeing up space for more impactful content. A new “Latest Stock” section was introduced at the top of the homepage to bring fresh inventory front and centre, supported by a dynamic animation slider in the hero area to highlight key listings in a visually engaging way. Throughout the redesign, we retained Buglers’ strong branding—preserving their established colour palette, typography, and identity—while bringing a cleaner, more modern feel to the overall site.

1.  Website Rebuild in Elementor:

The entire Buglers website was rebuilt from the ground up using Elementor — a powerful visual builder for WordPress that gave the Buglers team full control over their website content and layout. Previously, even minor updates required external help, limiting flexibility and slowing down the ability to react to new stock or events. With Elementor, the team can now easily make changes using an intuitive, drag-and-drop interface — no coding knowledge required.

This rebuild not only simplified day-to-day site management, but also laid the groundwork for long-term adaptability. Whether updating stock listings, adding new pages, or showcasing seasonal promotions, the platform offers the flexibility to evolve as the business grows. We also ensured the rebuild followed best practices in responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimisation, delivering a faster, cleaner experience across all devices.

By transitioning to Elementor, Buglers now have a futureproof platform that’s visually impactful and functionally scalable — reducing reliance on third-party developers while increasing internal efficiency.

2. Visual Design & Brand Consistency:

A key part of the project was ensuring the new website didn’t just function better — it also needed to look the part. Buglers has a well-established visual identity, trusted by their customer base, and it was vital that this branding was respected and retained throughout the redesign.

We refined and modernised the overall aesthetic while carefully maintaining the brand’s core visual elements — such as its colour palette, typography, and use of imagery. The new design introduces a more professional and polished look, with improved spacing, alignment, and hierarchy to make the content easier to read and navigate.

We also introduced more visual focus to the products themselves, using larger images, cleaner layouts, and dynamic sliders to bring the stock listings to life. This balance between familiarity and freshness ensures existing customers feel at home, while new visitors enjoy a modern, trustworthy experience that reflects the high standards Buglers is known for.

3.  Layout & UX Enhancements:

One of the major issues with the old design was an outdated sidebar that occupied valuable space and disrupted the homepage flow. We completely removed the sidebar, redistributing its content to more logical areas across the site. For example, the location map was moved to the footer, where it remains visible and accessible without interfering with the page’s core messaging.

We also introduced a new “Latest Stock” section at the top of the homepage to surface the most relevant and regularly updated content. This was paired with a new hero area animation slider, dynamically showcasing new stock in an eye-catching, high-impact format.

4. SEO Optimisation:

Alongside the visual and structural improvements, we implemented a tailored on-site SEO strategy to boost visibility in search engines. This included:

Optimising metadata, headings, and image alt text

Improving internal link structure and URL clarity

Ensuring fast load times and responsive layouts for mobile

Highlighting core product categories and keywords

Applying best practices to newly added dynamic content areas (e.g. blog and latest stock listings)
